Swimathon The team of Thomas Mills, Justin Craig, Sam Redman, Ollie Jeffcott and Sam Taylor swam 244 lengths of the 25 metre pool in 55 minutes, which is the most that any team has ever managed in the event. The second team of Matt Dewey, Chris Lee, Adam Lewis and Angus Mackenzie swam 200 lengths, which, before this year, had only been exceeded by 2 other teams. The girls team of Laura Fenwick, Imogen Adcock, Rachel Carter, Sadie Fleetwood and Emily Ard swam 182 lengths, which is the second greatest distance ever swum in our event by an all-female team. The PSC staff team managed just 98 lengths, which puts it all into perspective! Everybody was struck by the enthusiasm and energy of the PSC contingent; they were excellent representatives of the College and we are very grateful for their and your support. They will not know how much they have raised for the local charities - Winchester Live at Home Scheme, Winchester Street Reach, Winchester Night Shelter and Winchester Rotary Help for Senior Citizens - for some time yet. The sponsorship money tends to arrive relatively slowly and they will not close the accounts until the end of April. To that end, if the PSC student participants or any of your staff would like to contribute further, our charities would be very grateful. The details are still on the website at www.winchesterswim.co.uk. The aim is to exceed the £8500 that they raised last year, and with everybody's help they believe that they can.
