Club Championships 2017
Country Championships 6th and 7th May 2017six teams from Port Macquarie played on the central coast in the 2017 country championships. Ken, Adi and Mal won division 4 while Murray, Marcus and Shane finished third in division 2 after 3 teams were tied for first place. It was an excellent run competition with 50 teams and 25 tables and a great experience. Port Macquarie Vs Coffs Harbour 19/2/2017we plan to travel to Coffs Harbour for a challenge on the 19th February. Anyone interested, please let Geoff or Ken know City V CountryHello Everyone ,
This email is about the
City vs Country match this year, which is on Saturday, 3
September. The annual event is held at the Niagra Park Stadium, 16
Washington Avenue, Gosford. Players are to be at the venue preferably at 8.15am
to allow time for a warm up, team check in, etc, for a 9.00am start. The format
of teams and play is similar to that of the Country Championships, but with one
match in the morning and one in the afternoon. The cost is $20 per player, with
teams to collect the fees for handing in on the day. Cheques can be made payable
to the Central Coast Table Tennis Association.
Last year it was most successful day, with a total of 60 teams
participating. The contest was very close with Sydney the winner on the day.
We want to turn it around this year!
We need to organise our teams. Can you please let me know your teams and players, preferably by email, as soon as possible so that we are organised for the event. We want to have teams (and players) in by 15 August. We can arrange for individuals to be put in a team. It may be possible that nominated teams will change. Attached is a flyer in excel and pdf formats, about the
event, for you to provide teams and players.
A great day is assured for all players and I look forward to
hearing from you soon - 15 August is not far away!
Dale Allen Secretary

We got there at 9:30 am and left at 8:30 pm. Kobi played the eventual finalist in his first group (under 15's) and was
dispatched pretty quickly. We then waited for about two hours for his next
match (C division) and he was unlucky not to go through. He got a forfeit in the D division and met young Josh Yee in the round of
sixteen. He sadly went down 11:9 in the fifth game. I tried to speak to the Koreans but couldn't find Richard Ha. I spoke to
three young (Korean) kids when I was trying to locate him. Their English wasn’t
good and sadly my Korean wasn’t good either. When I finally got hold of Kim Lee
her son, Alex was in the under 18 finals. I later tried again and he was in the
under 15 finals. We had to go watch Kobi and lost contact with them. All in all it was a good experience for Kobi. This gives the Club a committee much bigger than the last. This should enable the jobs in the Club to be shared better. Results of the Competition against Coffs Harbour (added 25/3/2015)Port Macquarie had a comfortable win. More Thursday Night Table TennisYou may have noticed that the tables are split into 2 distinct areas. The area closest to the stage is for those who wish to play socially. The other area is for those who want to get coached. In this area you will see the robots and the nets. Multi ball is practised here. Free coaching is available to everyone, not just the younger players, so tell Geoff or Ken or any other player who looks like a coach that you would like to be coached.
