Космонавты не плачут - не могут:
застревает слеза в глазу
в невесомости. Жизненный опыт -
литры слёз - в решете несу.
Сила тяжести - страшная сила.
Только я всё равно сильней,
я ведь и не такое носила:
сумки, вёдра, гробы, детей.
Astronauts don’t cry – they cannot:
in weightlessness, a tear will remain there,
stuck in the eye. I was handed my lot –
to carry liters of tears in a strainer.
The force of gravity is a powerful force.
Only my force is stronger than its, -
I have carried much more, of course:
bags and buckets, caskets and kids.
