На старом сломанном диване,
на пыльном рваном покрывале
прикладывали рану к ране,
и раны сразу заживали.
Но, воровато озираясь,
стыдясь, не говоря ни слова,
мы друг от друга отрывались,
и раны открывались снова.
Atop the broken sofa, covered
with dusty covers, full of zeal,
wound onto wound, we wound each other
and wounds would wondrously heal.
But, gazing thief-like, in a pother,
ashamed, and silent like before,
we’d separate from one another
and wounds would open up once more.
