Undo Saved Edits

There are two ways to retrieve the original version of a photo after you've saved your edits: 'Undo Save' and 'Revert'

Undo Save

With this option, your photo edits will still visible in Picasa, but these edits are no longer saved to disk. To undo a save, you can follow these instructions:

    1. Double-click the image in the Picasa Library.

    2. Click the Undo Save button at the bottom of the editing tabs.

Revert

This options reverts your file to its original state, discarding any edits you have made. To revert a photo, please follow these instructions:

    1. Select the photos you'd like to revert.

    2. Click the File menu.

    3. Select Revert. If it's grayed out, that means no edits have been made to the photo.

NOTE: In order to undo or revert an edited photo, the original photo file must be located in the '.picasaoriginals' subfolder (Windows and Mac) that Picasa creates upon saving a photo. This subfolder isn't visible in Picasa, but you can view the original photo at any time in Windows File Explorer or the Finder in Mac. If you're unable to undo or revert a saved photo, it's possible that the original version of this photo has been moved.
