Mythology

Mythology is a fascinating subject, and many cultures around the world have their own stories of gods, heroes and monsters. Some are very similar, like Greek and Roman mythology, and some are wildly different. The following resources will help you understand more about the mythology and religions of several different civilizations.

Grolier Online (a part of Scholastic Go!) is a great place to visit for general information on many topics, mythology included. In addition to general articles about Greek/Roman and Norse mythology, you can find several articles on specific gods, heroes, and creatures. When you click on the link, type "mythology" in the box at the top and click Search.

The St. Charles Public Library carries many great books on mythology. Here are a few that we recommend from Youth Services.
