The trainer spells by monster list is meant to be an at-a-glance reference to the spells a monster trainer can gain when they've captured a particular monster. If you want to find a specific spell, you can use this list to determine which monsters offer it. Also, if you look up a specific monster, you should be able to find the 3rd-party link to what spells it grants the trainer upon capture.

Any Mystical: Kingdom of Monsters book supersedes these lists. If a monster found in one of those sources has a different spell list, it maintains that spell list when captured. Only a monster breeder with advanced monster growth or the use of an appropriate monster scroll can change the spells a specific monster grants.
