DESCRIPTION

A bolt of translucent, blue-white energy shoots from your fingertips, much as a lightning bolt would, but the ethereal strike only damages incorporeal creatures or creatures that exist in the ethereal plane. The ethereal strike does 1d10 points of force damage per level (maximum 5d10) or half damage if a victim makes a Reflex save.

The energy released by this spell exists primarily in the ethereal plane. As such, it has no effect upon creatures or objects in the physical plane. The bolt ignores corporeal walls, doors, armor, items and normal creatures. It should be noted that this spell does not empower the caster to see into the ethereal plane or through solid objects.
