DESCRIPTION

This spell creates a brilliant, multi-colored ray of blinding energy that lances out to strike any target within range. The caster must make a ranged touch attack to strike a target. If he hits, the ray does terrible damage to the victim, as if he had been struck by all seven colors of a prismatic spray. The victim may make the appropriate saving throws to avoid suffering the full effects of each color, as detailed in the description of the prismatic spray spell.

Note that the damage caused by the red, orange, and yellow portions of a prismatic ray can do double damage on a successful critical hit. The effects caused by the green, blue, indigo, and violet portions are not enhanced by a critical hit.
