This spell is a specialized sleep spell that works against constructed earthen guardians, clay and stone golems in particular, but possibly other types specifically made of materials from the earth.

Golem slumber is useful for bypassing these tough guardians rather than risking combat against them since these monsters are normally immune to sleep and are hard to sneak past. Once the spell is successfully cast, the affected monster stops in its tracks and stands dormant, for as long as the caster concentrates and for a number of rounds after concentration is dropped. Attacks made against slumbering constructs break the spell immediately.
