BarbarianThe core Barbarian class is re-used with a few small changes.
Bushi'Bushi' is not a closed-content term (it is a real-world term) and so it is used freely.
Kensai'Kensai' is not a closed-content term (it is a real-world term) and so it is used freely. In ancient Japan, a kensei was an honorary title given to a warrior of legendary skill in swordsmanship. The literal translation of "kensei" is "sword saint". Thus, the term is considered by some to imply a higher degree of perfection (possibly also encompassing a moral dimension). MonkThe core Monk class is re-used with a few small changes. Ninja'Ninja' is not a closed-content term (it is a real-world term) and so it is used freely. Samurai'Samurai' is not a closed-content term (it is a real-world term) and so it is used freely. ShukenjaThe term Shukenja' is not open content and so can not be used. Instead, the term Shugenja is used. Shugenja are "warrior priests" or "bandit monks." The shugenja accepts a life of hardship and poverty and worships no single god. Meditations: Shugenja may meditate to perform a few specific special abilities. For each hour spent meditating the shugenja gains one meditation point. He may use these meditation points for various purposes.
Unarmed Combat: Shugenja are skilled combatants with unarmed combat and receive Improved Unarmed Strike as a free feat. Sōhei'Sōhei' is not a closed-content term (it is a real-world term) and so it is used freely. Sōhei (literally "monk warriors") are similar to the mountain ascetic Shugenja, but unlike the solitary shugenja, sōhei generally organized into large armies or mobs. The sōhei did not operate as individuals, or even as members of small, individual temples, but rather as warriors in a large extended brotherhood or monastic order. The 'home temple' of a sōhei monastic order might have had several, if not tens or a hundred, smaller monasteries, training halls, and subordinate temples. Wu jenThe term 'Wu jen' is not open content and so can not be used. Instead, the term 'Kisai' is used (note to asian-speakers: if you have a better term please enlighten me.) A Kisai is a Wizard who focuses on spells of elements and nature. Taboo: At 1st level
the Kisai must choose one taboo. Thereafter an additional taboo must be
selected upon gaining every five IeveIs. Elemental Mastery: When a Kisai learns all spells of a single element up to the highest level he can cast, he is considered a master of that element. Thereafter all spells of that element cast by the character are cast as if Empowered. The character also gains resistance equal to his level versus spells of that element. Note that when the character becomes able to cast a higher-level spell he is no longer a master of the element until he learns all the spells of that element at the new spell level. Bonus Feats: A Kisai gains the use of two feats each one time per day. The character activates these feats by focusing his ki in a mighty shout.
Yakuza'Yakuza' is not a closed-content term (it is a real-world term) and so it is used freely. Taboo Several classes abide by certain taboos. A selection of common taboos are included below.
