A divine sorcerer draws almost entirely on heavenly powers for her spells, blurring the lines between arcane and divine magic. The divine sorcerer is an archetype of the sorcerer class, available to aasimar sorcerers. BloodlineThe divine sorcerer must have the celestial bloodline (or empyreal wildblooded bloodline). Divine Sorcery (Su)A divine sorcerer's spells, while arcane, are tied to the divine power that runs in her blood. Any sorcerer spells a divine sorcerer casts that has a material component worth 1 gp or less instead requires a divine focus. Spells requiring a material component worth more than 1 gp also require a divine focus if the divine version of the spell does. In addition, because of the heavenly source of her power, a divine sorcerer cannot learn or cast spells with the Evil descriptor. This ability replaces eschew materials. Divine Affinity (Su)A divine sorcerer treats her charisma score as 2 points higher for all sorcerer spells and class abilities. This ability replaces the bloodline power gained at 1st level. Heavenly Blessing (Su)At 3rd level, a divine sorcerer adds all the cure spells from the cleric's spell list to her spell list, and learns them as bonus spells as soon as she can cast spells of that level. However, the power to heal wounds is not natural to arcane energy; she counts her sorcerer level as 2 lower for the purposes of determining how much she heals (this penalty also applies if she is using the spell to harm undead). This ability replaces the bloodline power gained at 3rd level. At 15th level, as a swift action, a divine sorcerer can cause any spell she casts that deals energy damage to instead deal pure divine damage, similar to the divine component of a flame strike spell, causing the damage of the spell to bypass damage reduction and energy resistance. The divine sorcerer may use this ability once per day. This ability replaces the bloodline power gained at 15th level. |
