Transmuters see the world as a sculptor sees clay. Every stone, every bit of steel can be worked into a new form, and transmuters learn how to reshape materials to the exclusion of more combat-oriented abilities.
Transmute (Sp)
At 2nd level, a transmuter learns
how to alter the shape of items. This ability works as
stone shape, using his transmuter level for his caster level,
but it can affect objects of any composition, including
metal, stone, wood, cloth, and so on. It cannot be
used on rare materials, such as mithral, cold iron, or
adamantine, subject to GM discretion. Transmute can
only be used on inanimate objects and structures, and
cannot be used on magic items. The transmuter can use
this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + his
Charisma modifier.
This ability replaces imbue.
Bonus Feats
A transmuter can only select item creation feats for his bonus feats.
This alters the vanguard's bonus feats.
Transmogrifier (Ex)
At 3rd level, a transmuter casts
transmutation spells at +2
caster level, and gains a +2
bonus on all saving throws against
transmutation effects.
This ability replaces vanguard tactics.
Improved Transmute (Sp)
At 11th level, a
transmuter can use his transmute ability to alter the form
of rare materials such as
mithral or
adamantine. He
can use two of his daily uses of transmute to craft raw
materials into a finished product, as the spell
fabricate,
using his transmuter level as his
caster level.
This ability
replaces impoved imbue.
Greater Transmute (Sp)
At 17th level, a transmuter
never fails to create moving objects using his transmute
ability. He can use three of his daily uses of transmute to
cast
polymorph any object, using his transmuter level as his
caster level. He can only affect objects with the effect.
This ability replaces greater imbue.
