Random Encounter Generators

The gadget spec URL could not be found

At times during a game when you're looking to liven things up (perhaps during a long overland journey, or maybe when the party's decided to camp in a dangerous dungeon), you can use the following encounter tables to randomly generate monster encounters.

The pages linked to in the table below generate random encounters using the official information provided by Paizo as the data.

These generators do not include all monsters available—likewise, they don't cover all possible locations the PCs might find themselves in during the course of a game, but you can use these sample generators as models for generating additional encounter generators of your own. You can quickly and easily create such generators using the site dxContent.com.

Each generated encounter shows an Average CR score—this indicates the average difficulty of the encounters that can be generated using that generator. A CR 4 encounter generator works well when challenging a group of 4th level PCs, for example.

All random generators are created by Brian Dunn. To quickly and easily build your own generators like these, go to dxContent.com.
