The Baum School of Art and The Morning Call invite artists to submit their two-dimensional artwork for their Annual Juried Exhibition. Subject matter is open to each artist's interpretation. THERE ARE NO ENTRY FEES.

Must pre-register by Friday, July 19. Work delivery, Wednesday and Thursday August 7th & 8th, from 9 am to 9pm.

By emailing the following information to registrar@baumschool.org or visiting mcvil.me/juried you acknowledge your understanding of the general information and that the artwork submitted is an original work created by you.

Work pick up Friday and Saturday, September 13th & 14th, 9 am to 3pm.


Watercolor Workshop with Glenn E. Blue, PWS

October 24 to 26, 2019, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Parkland Art League is hosting Glenn E. Blue, PWS for a watercolor workshop Creating Glowing Winter Landscapes

Students will learn tips and tricks for creating better winter landscapes including atmosphere, fog, snow and figures. Students will complete two to three paintings over the course of three days.

Held at the Cetronia Fire Company Social Hall, 18 S. Scenic Street, Allentown, PA 18104 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Lunch is available for purchase on site. Parkland Art League Members will receive a discounted rate and you can too! JOIN the Parkland Art League and save $5 over the full course fee. If you wish to pay by check, please make it payable to "Parkland Art League" and mail it to Howard Ellsworth, 3434 W. Highland Street, Allentown, PA 18031. (Or pay online at www.artisinn.biz) The full course fee is due by October 1, 2019. If you need to cancel, full refunds will be granted by September 24, 2019 after that date no refund unless a substitute is available to take your place. Directions to the venue and a materials list will be emailed to all registrants.

September 3 to 5, 2019, 9:30 AM to 4:30 Pm. - This 3 day workshop with Alain Picard is suitable for oil and pastel mediums.

David Lee: 2-Day Watercolor Workshop

Thursday, October 3 to Friday, October 4, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. - Join award winning watercolor master David Lee for two days of watercolor immersion. David will share his methods of seeing and interpreting his vision onto paper. He will share tips to help you paint faster. Learn how to keep your paintings fresh and how to manage figures. Plan for some plein air painting if the weather permits. There will be one hour demonstrations each morning and afternoon followed by plenty of time for students to work on their paintings. David will visit each of you at your station for ample one on one time to have your problems and questions answered.

In the Tradition- Landscape Paintings by Joseph Skrapits

May 23 to June 29, 2019 - Allentown artist Joseph Skrapits studied the landscape painting methods of the French Impressionists and used Lehigh Valley subjects as a laboratory to understand how to capture atmosphere, perspective, and color harmony. This solo exhibition celebrates the enduring power of landscape painting to stimulate and refresh the creative imagination. Opening Reception June 1, 12 to 3 PM.

Beginner Calligraphy Workshop:

June 15, 10 am to 12 noon - $80. Giulissa of Paper Love Me teaches the basics of equipment, and technic while providing you with all you need to create beautiful handwriting designs.
