The Synagogue meaning assembly is a Jewish or Sarmarian house of prayer, they are consecrated spaces that can be used only for the purpose of prayer and Torah (Hebrew Bible) study. Synagogues have a large hall for prayer (the main sanctuary) called "Hekhal" from which is derived the term 'Hykala'. Beyond this is the D'bhir or holy of holies (from which is derived the term "M'dbha"), and can also have smaller rooms for study and sometimes a social hall for occasions as well as offices for bookkeeping. Some have a separate room for Torah study, called the beit midrash (Sfard) beis midrah (Ashkenaz)—בית מדרש ("House of Study").

The Synagogue has been a constant presence and a source of spiritual strength. Playing a symbolic as well as a practical role, it has acted as a focus for the faith of countless Jewish communities all over the world. The significance placed on The Synagogue, with its rituals and traditions, emphasizes the fact that Judaism is not simply a religion but a way of life.

The Torah study is the study by Jewish people of the Torah, Hebrew Bible, Talamud, responsa, rabbinic literature and similar works, all of which are Judaism's religious texts. Ideally within Judaism it is done for the purpose of the mitzvah the ("commandment") of Torah study itself. This practice is present to an extent in all branches of Judaism and is considered of paramount importance among traditional Jews.

Torah study has evolved over the generations, as lifestyles changed and also as new texts were written.Torah study is counted amongst the 613 mitzvot ("[Biblical] commandments"), finding its source in the verse (Deuteronomy 6:7): "And you shall teach it to your children," upon which the Talmud comments that "Study is necessary in order to teach."

The importance of study is attested to in another Talmudic discussion (Kiddushin 40b) about which is preferred: study or action. The answer there, a seeming compromise, is "study that leads to action." Although the word "Torah" refers specifically to the Five Books of Moses, in Judaism the word also refers to the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible), the Talmud and other religious works, even including the study of Kabbalah, Hasidism, Mussar and much more. Kabbalah originally developed entirely within the realm of Jewish thought and kabbalists often use classical Jewish sources to explain and demonstrate its esoteric teachings. These teachings are thus held by followers in Judaism to define the inner meaning of both the Hebrew Bible and traditional Rabbinic literature, their formerly concealed transmitted dimension, as well as to explain the significance of Jewish religious observances. Kabbalah: Key To Your Inner Power (Mystical Paths of the World's Religions) Kabbalah, also spelled Kabala or Cabala (Hebrew: קַבָּלָה‎ literally "receiving"), is an esoteric method, discipline and school of thought. Its definition varies according to the tradition and aims of those following it, from its religious origin as an integral part of Judaism, to Christian, New Age, or Occultist syncretic adaptions.

Kabbalah is a set of esoteric teachings meant to explain the relationship between an unchanging, eternal and mysterious Ein Sof (no end) and the mortal and finite universe (his creation). While it is heavily used by some denominations, it is not a religious denomination in itself. Inside Judaism, it forms the foundations of mystical religious interpretation. Outside Judaism, its scriptures are read outside the traditional canons of organised religion. Click here for The Essential Zohar: The Source of Kabbalistic Wisdom

Kabbalah The Way: Using the Wisdom of Kabbalah for Spiritual Transformation and Fulfillment... Kabbalah seeks to define the nature of the universe and the human being, the nature and purpose of existence, and various other ontological questions.
