NKC 10Km Results
NKC members take part and organise a number of 10Km races every year. These are on the basis of laps and races in singles, doubles and fours offered at various times of the year.
Fours During the summer months, a Mix & Match K4 series for "scratch" crews compete for the Ken Phillips trophy with points awarded to individuals in each race. The best 3 out of 5 results score. These events take place on Wednesday evening at approximately monthly intervals. They run at Holme Pierrepont NWSC on an course that usually involves 4 laps.
Singles & Doubles These usually take place on Saturday afternoons during the summer and autumn. The ones at the club use a 5km laps course between Lady Bay Bridge and The Toll Bridge. Shorter events of 5Km & 2Km are also offered for younger or lower ranked paddlers. There are also 10km races at other clubs such as Soar Valley, Leicester. Information about all these events is posted on the Marathon Noticeboard at the club.
