Coalition efforts hold the ultimate goal to abolish human trafficking and ensure the liberation, dignity and well-being of trafficked persons.

NM-OATH leads the 39th anti-trafficking coalition under the guidance of the US Department of Health & Human  Services.   As facilitator of the NM Rescue & Restore  Coalition, NM-OATH provides coalition members with information, resources, presentations, and outreach strategies specifically tailored for the types of victims with whom they may come into contact in their specific industry or community.

WHY IS SUCH A COALITION NECESSARY?

Sophisticated, though seemingly innocent, techniques camouflage victims of human trafficking.   Once aware of these techniques and signs, members of industries, businesses, and other organizations often identify victims within companies eliminating the cost of labor for profit advantage.

WHO PARTNERS IN THE COALITION?

  • state & regional professional associations
  • service providers & medical professionals
  • civic organizations
  • unions &  labor organizations
  • state and local government agencies
  • law enforcement agencies

WHAT DO PARTNERS DO?

The NM Rescue & Restore Coalition engages civic, public, and private industries in a campaign of public awareness to combat modern day slavery. Partners raise awareness through conferences presentations, newsletters, websites, etc.
