Welcome to this month's IFOMPT Evidence Release

After the recent success of WCPT 2015, things are already gearing up for the next IFOMPT Conference in Glasgow. You can read all about this below, including details of the exciting conference App.

This month we are looking at the paediatric population, with a summary of the latest research and news in all things related to our younger patients - see the Special Interest Section below. We also have some really interesting research to share in the areas of Spine, Extremities, Sports, Manual Therapy and Pain below, we hope you find these useful and enjoy Evidence Release this month!

IFOMPT2015 conference website and registration now live!
Just having returned from WCPT2015, please note that the next IFOMPT Conference will take place in Glasgow at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) from 4-8 July 2016. We have just launched our registration site, to take advantage of our discounted fees, book now to secure the early bird rate. We have also commenced abstract submission, the site is now open. To find out more, including our mentorship programme, click here.  We have already confirmed all of our keynote speakers and they have kindly provided us with podcasts of their thoughts on IFOMPT 2016 alongside some inspirational tales and experiences from their areas of expertise. The theme for Glasgow 2016 is Expanding Horizons. further detailed information including programme strands is available here.
IFOMPT2106 conference App
The IFOMPT2016 conference committee feel this is appropriate from both an environmental and technological perspective to run the conference as a paperless conference. Therefore a conference app will be launched that will enable delegates to plan their programme, learn about the speakers and their topics, vote on debates, as well as getting the most out of Glasgow itself. This is an exciting first for IFOMPT and should enhance the delegate experience greatly, making the conference very modern and interactive. Launched in Quebec in 2014, the conference website www.ifomptconference.org has encouraged people to register their interest as a delegate, exhibitor, sponsor or abstract submitter. To date, the site has received almost 1,500 unique responses, which has created a database that can be used for both IFOMPT 2016 and future conferences. Both the volume of traffic and geographic spread of visitors to the site are impressive and it is also worth noting that over 20% of devices used to view the site are mobile or tablet devices - this bodes well for the conference app.
