ALLIANCE POSITION ON NORTHPOINT INTERMODAL
It is the position of the Midewin Tallgrass Prairie Alliance that no new intermodal or warehouse complexes be developed south of I-80 and within a 20 mile radius of Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie subject to development and implementation of a comprehensive regional transportation plan that would effectively and efficiently move intermodal truck traffic off of local roads and highways and onto major highway arteries such as I-80, I-55, I-57, I-355.
