COVID-19 Guidelines 5/1/20

posted May 3, 2020, 12:21 PM by Middle Tennessee OUTsiders   [ updated May 3, 2020, 12:22 PM ]

From the beginning it's been true that:

"We strive to create fun, safe, non-competitive, nature-focused recreational outings that promote healthful activity and appeal to participants who are diverse in terms of age, experience, and ability."

For now that means a few things:

1. We'll schedule hikes that are within about an hour's drive from most hikers.

2. Hikers will be asked to drive themselves to the trailhead and to not carpool.

3. We'll stay six feet apart at all times.

4. OUTings will be limited to 10 hikers.

5. We won't plan meals together after hikes.

6. We'll ask hikers to stay home if they or anyone they've been around has any symptoms, is running a temperature, or has been diagnosed. We promise to have more!

7. We remind hikers that current guidelines still recommend that those who are vulnerable stay at home. It is up to individuals to determine if this applies to them.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We expect things to continue to change in the coming months and we'll adapt these policies as they do.

We look forward to meeting you at a trailhead soon.
