HAWKS boys soccer wins 1st Regional Semi Finals under Coach Jim Carr 5-16-17

The hottest game this season and the boys' soccer team answered the heat with a signature win for the program. The boys beat Chattanooga Christian School 3-2 in an exciting match to watch. After going down a goal early in the first half the team scored 3 unanswered goals until late in the second half where CCS pushed the limits with a goal 3-2. The last 15 minutes of the game proved to be an exciting game for the spectators and the game ended with that score.

On to the Region Finals on Thursday 5-18-17nwhere the HAWKS will host another Home game to fight for a Regional Championship which would be the first in school history. We are proud of the team and hope to see them play five more games all the way to the state finals!

The Hawks boys soccer team won their 1st District Championship under Coach Jim Carr. Several Runner Up titles have been outdone by this year's District victory. The boys fought hard to take a 1-0 lead only to be wiped out by a penalty kick goal by Murfreesboro Central Magnet. With 40 seconds remaining in the first half the Hawks went ahead again with a set piece goal by Connor Dunn making it 2-1. The game would end with that score awarding the Hawks with this District Championship.

Congrats to the Hawks boys soccer team

Countdown to Kickoff

2016 Season

Hawks Ready for Season to Start
Led by an experienced group of 7 Seniors and 9 Juniors, the Hawks look forward to starting the 2016 season. This year's schedule features matchups against Station Camp, Beech, Gallatin, Lebanon and White House.  As usual, Coach Jim Carr is not afraid to have his smaller class A team challenge larger class AAA programs.  The season kicks off on March 1st at cross-town rival John Paul II. We also have the honor of hosting the District 8 A-AA tournament at MHMS this year, giving us an opportunity to showcase our facility, our student-athletes and our fans.  Plan on being a part of the 2016 soccer season and come out to support the Hawks!

Keep up with everything going on with MHMS Soccer on our home page.

Additionally, Dylan Green, Briana Fiala and Autumn Puckett received perfect scores in both of their role play events, and Michael Nicholson and team member Chase Diekchona received perfect scores on their team role play event.

Challenging Pre Season for 2015 Hawks Soccer

posted Feb 14, 2015, 9:58 PM by Mhms Soccer

Let the games begin -

The Hawks boys team begins their pre-season game schedule next week.  There will be no easing into the regular season for the Hawks, as they will host challenging opponents from giant area schools in 3 pre-season home games.  First up is Gallatin on Tuesday 2/24, followed by Hunters Lane on Friday 2/27, and finally we play Station Camp on Tuesday 3/3.  All games start at 7 PM at the MHMS soccer field.

Most teams hope to warm up against lesser teams to prepare for their season, but the Hawks won’t have that luxury.  We will be playing quality competition that will test our young team and force them to step up their game from the very beginning.  Make plans to come out to support the boys each game.  Game nights will be chilly, so dress appropriately and bring your blankets.  Concessions will be open for all games.  We will also be selling new Hawks Soccer chairs for $26 each. Get yours early and show your support all season long.  Go HAWKS!

2015 Boy's Season starts soon

posted Jan 24, 2015, 8:16 PM by Mhms Soccer

The Hawks boys team is conditioning, readying themselves for the new season ahead.  They need focused training and conditioning as the 2015 Hawks are going to have to rebuild after losing a number of seniors last year that formed the core of the best teams Coach Carr has had to date.  The bar has been set high, but this team does have great potential to achieve success.  It has a roster full of young players ready to step into leadership roles and form the new core for the future.  Coach Jim Carr will be formulating new tactics and strategies to take advantage of the strengths of this year’s squad.  Pre-season games are less than a month away.  They will give us our first glimpse at what this team can be.  Never one to back away from a challenge, Coach Carr has pitted this young team against some stiff competition to test them early before we get into the regular season schedule.  We’ll be posting regular blog updates about the team each week.  Be sure you check it out.

Make plans to attend as many games as possible and support the boys.  Our first pre-season game is at home against Gallatin on 2/24 at 7 PM.  The team will need all the support it can get and our fans definitely make a difference during games. Hope to see you all there.  Go Hawks!
