American School Foundation, Escuela Tomás Alva Edison & Partners TBD (Mexico City)

The American School Foundation’s College Fair is coming back for its 35th year with a new look and new partners!

Saturday, October 13, 2018, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

It is the most extensive undergraduate fair in Mexico, one that is free to attend and open to the public. We typically have more than 130 colleges and universities from the United States, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Australia participate. Students from 50 bilingual high schools are invited. Yearly, we have approximately 1000 people in attendance.  This is an excellent way for students and their parents to learn about educational opportunities in Mexico and abroad.

You may send materials via air mail or courier service to the same address as above.  Please note that you will be responsible for extra duty charges if incurred.  Please be sure to clearly mark your boxes with the name of your institution and COLLEGE FAIR.

Arriving in Mexico City

Once passing through immigration and customs at the Mexico City airport, or for domestic flights, once picking up your luggage, you will need to walk to any given taxi stand to pre-purchase your cab fare.  There are around five different cab companies leaving from the airport and all are completely safe.  Make sure you have the address where you will be going ready to show the taxi stand attendant.  Cab fare from the airport to the Polanco neighborhood will cost around 200 pesos.  Unless you are traveling in a group, do not let the attendant charge you for a minivan or suburban; all of the taxi companies have sedans that have more than enough room for one or two people plus luggage.

For more details on authorized taxis at the airport, please click here

Transportation

Bus transportation will be provided on Saturday, October 13 from the J.W. Marriott to ASF and back again. TWO BUSES will available. We know that the last year or two that there haven't been enough seats. This year there will be! The pick-up times will be:

Saturday, October 13

9:25 a.m. J.W. Marriott (Polanco) => ASF

2:15 p.m. ASF => J.W. Marriott (Polanco)

Additionally, we are certain you will really enjoy the affordability and accessibility of Uber here in Mexico City! If you need extra transport for whatever reason, please do know that Uber is the best option!
