I started weaving after I became an educator at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum in 2013. Being surrounded by weaving and spinning demonstrators inspired me to take on a whole new hobby. After learning from our volunteers, friends, fellow Guild members, and many You Tube videos I successfully started a fiber program at the museum in the fall of 2018. I am learning as much as I can to help others to weave, spin, felt, and dye. It is so rewarding to see others appreciate and learn fiber arts.
At home my other half, Victor DiAndrea, has created quite the workspace where we can process our own wool and other fiber. I love the entire process, from cleaning the fiber to spinning and eventually weaving an amazing piece of art.
