Young Scientist Award

The award is a medal that is presented to one winner per school. The recipient of this award is chosen by their own school using whatever method is suitable to the school.

Criteria

The award should not be based on a student's performance at the Olympics.

It should be based on the student's:

  • interest in science

  • commitment to learning

  • contribution in preparing for the Olympics

The winner should also demonstrate these characteristics:

  • inquisitive, asks questions

  • curious, looks for answers

  • problem solver, works towards a solution

  • team player, contributes constructive ideas

  • enthusiastic, encouraging
