Scoring

Each event has their own point system.

However in the final calculations for overall championship school, it is the rank of each school in each event that is used in the calculations. Thus each event is equally weighted.

The more events your school participates in, the higher chance you have of placing in the top three schools.

All drop-in events also earns points for the school. The top score for each school in each drop-in event will be used towards the school's rank.

Participation in the Teacher Event earns points for the team regardless of the ranking.

Enrichment Programs (EP) and non-competitive games are only for learning and do not contribute to the school’s overall score.

Each event will recognize the first, second and third place teams with medals.

The top 3 schools will receive medals for each participant, including the staff advisor.

The top 3 schools will also take home a school plaque.

The overall championship school will also have their school name engraved on a historic plaque that can be displayed at the school for the year (and should be returned to W. L. Mackenzie C. I. by the next MSEO).
