What is MSEO?
Mackenzie Science and Engineering Olympics is an annual competition for middle school students designed and hosted by high school students at William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute. It is a full day event that consists of completing hands-on inquiry based challenges that require collaboration and teamwork.
MSEO provides middle school students with a challenging environment where they can test their problem solving skills in the areas of science (chemistry, biology, engineering), math and computer science while also learning important life skills such as cooperation and negotiation.Â
Because MSEO is held inside a high school, it also gives middle school students a chance to see and experience the high school environment and learn more about the challenges and opportunities that come with it.
