Laura's Library Artisans' Market
Hosted By The Friends Of The Westbank Library
Laura's Library Artisans' Market is a Friend's fundraiser which aids the organization in providing student scholarships and supporting the Westbank Community Library District.
The Market consists of approximately approximately 35 unique artist booths; a silent auction with items from the Artisans' as well as local businesses; and delicious food trucks. We have a wide variety of artists and focus on making each booth unique so that similar items are not replicated throughout the show. All items are handmade! The show occurs on the second Saturday in November at The Laura Bush Library, 9411 Bee Cave Road in Austin, Texas. Booths are both inside and outside. In the event of heavy rain, the inside and covered booths will still be open for business. Bring the family and enjoy the beautiful hill country setting! The vendor application can be found on the "Application Page", found on the top left of this page.
The Friends of the Westbank Library is a 501c3 non-profit formed in 1985 by a group of dedicated library supporters. For years this group has actively raised thousands of dollars to purchase such things as the Mark Twain Statue, the Backyard Dragon, the Giving Tree, the Chess Garden, the Bubble Machines and the Veteran's Courtyard, as well as to provide scholarships to exceptional teens who volunteer at the Westbank Library and/or the Laura Bush Library. While the goals of the Friends have remained consistent since its inception, the 2013 board adopted the goal of expanding the participation of the Westbank community within the Friends organization. For more information about the Friends or to volunteer, please see our website listed to the right.
