Larne Museum & Arts Centre has a number of exhibitions that are available to tour to your venue free of charge. 

John Clifford 40th Anniversary Exhibition

This exhibition was produced in 2023 in association with Stone Circle Publishing.  

The exhibition, which explores the life of John Clifford, the first curator of Larne & District Historical Centre, now Larne Museum, reflects that, “John’s work on folklore, drama, local history and dialect, has left an invaluable legacy for East Antrim.” 

John left Larne in 1937 to take up a civil service post in London, where he became a professional actor. He returned to Larne 30 years later. John passed away on 8th October 1983.  

The exhibition consists of 3 off 3x3 curved stands and 1 single pull-up panel.  

Richard Hayward's East Antrim 

This exhibition, produced in 2019 in association with Paul Clements, travel writer, broadcaster, and former BBC journalist, pays tribute to the life of Richard Hayward (1892-1964), a popular actor, singer, writer and broadcaster.  Born in Southport and raised in Larne, Hayward became one of Ireland's leading cultural figures during the middle decades of the 20th century.   

The exhibition consists of 3 off 3x3 curved stands and 1 single pull-up panel.  

A Larne Jeweller's Shop

This exhibition was produced in 2017 in collaboration with the late Brian Campbell.  

Campbell’s Jewellers, a small shop that was located on Upper Cross Street, Larne, until the end of April 2015, had a long history going back over 90 years. 

This exhibition explores the history of the shop and some of the people who worked there. There is also an accompanying video (approx 25 mins) where Brian Campbell explains how some of the tools and equipment were used by a Watchmaker and Jeweller.

This exhibition consists of 5 single pull-up panels:  Introduction Panel, A Larne Jeweller's Shop, A Larne Family - The Campbell's, A Watchmaker's Apprentice and A Watchmaker's View of Larne.  

Larne Naval Base and the U-boat War 1914-1918

This exhibition, produced in association with local historian and author Guy Warner in 2018, explores the role of Larne Naval Base and the part it played in the fight against the U-boat threat during World War 1. 

The exhibition consists of 4 off 3x3 curved stands.
