Kids Restart, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Augusta, Georgia. Founded in 1999 out of a desperate need to provide support services to the children and families separated as a result of child neglect or abuse charges. In 2002, we legally changed our name and opened our doors as a supervised visitation center. Since that time, we have been successful at assisting families in stopping the cycle of neglect and abuse against the children of Richmond, Burke and Columbia Counties. In the past 11 years, Kids Restart has assisted over 1,000 families during the transition to reunite their families.
Our Mission is for every child to be secure from abuse and neglect and will become a healthy, self-sustaining citizen within a nurturing, caring home environment.
Most of the referrals we receive are from Richmond County Department of Family and Children Services.
We are funded in part through Providing Safe and Stable Families, Community Foundation for the CSRA, Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power and Potential, Creel-Harison Foundation, The Exchange Club and the Community Development Block Grant Program.
