VIKING MUSEUM

History pupils have created a Viking Museum in the study/paired reading room in the Library until mid March. Please find time to call along and visit and see the work pupils have created.

RIGHTS COLLECTIONS

Library is currently hosting two rotating collections from East Lothian Library Services. Books from the Human Rights, and Women Rights collections are on display on the East Lothian Collection shelves opposite the Library Desk.

The latest updates in Book Collections are:

The Dystopian Collection from East Lothian Libraries is currently in Knox Academy. If you are looking for
something to move onto after The Hunger Games browse and find your next new read now.

Human Rights Book Collection is in school to support the work carried out by the Rights Respecting
School Group. The collection is currently in the East Lothian Collection section of the library.

Quick Reads and World Book Day books are available for loan in the School Library near the Issue Desk.
The titles include books by Andy McNab; David Baddiel and Juno Dawson.

PUPIL LIBRARIAN ACHIEVEMENTS - CERTIFICATES AWARDED (04/07/2015)

On Wednesday 1 July 2015, several pupils were presented with their Pupil Librarian Certificates for completing parts of the toolkit from the School Library Association.

The pupils and certificates awarded were:

  • Alexander Doctor - Bronze
  • Angus Langlands - Bronze
  • Connor Lynn - Bronze; Connor will also be presented with the Pupil Librarian of the Month for June for the support and co-operation he gave during the P7 Visits, Carla Taylor nominates the Pupil Librarian of the Month in role as Head Pupil Librarian.
  • Robin Venters - Bronze
  • Finley Brown - Silver
  • Sarah Greenwell - Silver
  • John McFern - Silver

Jason Hogg, Ashleigh Lawson & Josh Nisbet have all been presented with Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates this year.
