For $17 you can shave 1,800' of elevation gain by riding the gondola. Otherwise, you can hike from the established trailhead just outside of the Ski Apache boundary. The trail does not lead to the summit of any of the peaks, but does get close to Lookout Mountain, White Mountain Wilderness Highpoint and Buck Mountain.
