Freestanding

This project was made as an experiment in "kerf bending". By making many horizontal cuts that don't go all the way through the wood, I was able to easily bend the Douglas Fir 2x4s. I switched kerfing the inside to kerfing the outsides of the legs to create the "S" shape. Jute holds a six gallon carboy that I filled with water until it held the wood in shape.
