Getting Started with IGPro

Setting up IGPro for the year- cheat sheet

Log in (1st initial, followed by full last name- password is 1234-1234-1234).

1-Click “Setup” on toolbar

2-Click “Spreadsheets”

3-Click “New,” then “Next”

4-Write in “Quarter 1” (or 2 or 3 or 4)

5-Choose “Weighted Type” or “Total Points”

6-Click “Edit Date Range”

Put in beginning and ending dates for the quarter (see below)

7-Repeat for the rest of the quarters

Change the class (click the bar next to “Class”) then do it all again until you have done all of your classes. Ugh!

If you use a weighted type system you must do the following:

1-Click “Setup” on toolbar

2-Click “Grading Rules”

3-Click the tab which says “Type Sets”

4-Change the percentages that each type of thing is worth according to your own system.

-You can change the names of the tasks “i.e. Exams, Homework, etc” by clicking on “Rename Type”

-If you don’t want to use one type (i.e. Labs) then just leave it blank.

Adding Tasks (for your grades):

1-Select the class you want to enter the task for

2-Click “Tasks” and “New Task”

3-Give it a name and a date

4-If you use a ‘weighted type’ system, you must select the type of task it is from the scroll down bar (i.e. Homework, Quiz, Test, etc.)

5-Pick the total number of points the task is worth

6-Click “Create”

You should now have a new column into which you can put the grades for that task

NOTA BENE- if you do not want the scores uploaded to Edline for the students and parents to see, you must click “Tasks,” “Edit Task” and then unclick the box which reads “Allow export to InteGrade Pro link.” You must do this for every task.

Beginning and Ending Dates: 2006-7

Quarter 1: 9/6/06 – 11/3/06

Quarter 2: 11/6/06 – 1/12/07

Quarter 3: 1/15/07 – 3/30/07

Quarter 4: 4/2/07 – 6/21/07

Exporting Grades:

1- Select a class

2- Change your spreadsheet from “Quarter 1” to “Q1 (End Term 11/3/2006)”

3- The 1st column should be titled “Q1 MK Grade.”

Click on that title (referred to as a bucket), and select the option “Replace Task”

4- Chose “Quarter 1” as the spreadsheet you are going to copy, then click “Next”

5- Click on “Quarter 1 Spreadsheet Grade” and click “Next”

6- Chose “Letter Grade” then click “Next”

7- Click the box that says “Hot Link Grades” then click “Ok”

Your grades should now appear in the column in blue.

If you want to manually change a grade:

1- Click on the box with the grade in it

2- Type in the new grade

3- You will receive a message- “Modifying this score will turn off score updates for the entire column. Continue?” Click “Yes”

4- Change any other grades in the column

Select a new class (from the scroll down bar at top) and do this process for all your classes.

* You can enter comments in the boxes titled “Q1 MK Comment #1, #2 and #3.” Either enter the number of the comment in the box or use the pull down bar above labeled “Comment”

When you are done creating spreadsheets and modifying grades for all your classes: 1- Click “File”

2- Click “Export from Gradebook”

3- Make sure only “11/3/2006: Q1” is checked

4- A warning box will appear- check the box that says “Continue with the export anyway” and click “Next”

5- Click “Export”

6- If an error box appears, asking if you want to see the log, click “No.” It will still export you grades.

Now you should be done- For Quarter 1 please send Carol Logan an email to let her know that you are exporting your grades from IGPro. By Quarter 2 we are all expected to be using it.
