Imtiaz Ahmed

Assistant Professor
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE)
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET)

Hello and welcome to my site. I am Imtiaz Ahmed. I completed my B. Sc. and M. Sc. from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the same department. I also worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Islamic University of Technology (IUT).

My research interests include physics, modeling and characterization of nanoscale devices. My undergraduate thesis was on quantum mechanical modeling of antimonide based Buried Channel Quantum Well FET and MOSFET. For my master's thesis, I developed a 2-D analytical model of subthreshold characteristics for symmetric and asymmetric Double Gate Junctionless Field Effect Transistors.

I spend my leisure usually by reading novels, listening music and watching movies. I also play different indoor and outdoor games. I also love hanging out with friends and family.

Besides that, I am an active member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). I am the Secretary of IEEE Electron Devices and Solid-State Circuits Society, Bangladesh Chapter. I actively organize and participate in different seminars, workshops and conferences.

This website contains my academic and professional information. It also contains information for students regarding the courses that I am taking as a teacher. Questions, solutions and marks of class tests/lab tests and important announcements are uploaded in this site.

Queries from students regarding course works are welcomed. For contact details, please check Contact Information.
