This is a partial title page from an Illuminati book from 1788. You can see their seal -- the Owl of Minerva (Roman myth) or Owl of Athena (Greek myth). The Owl was the insignia of the third degree which is the topic of the book. It is difficult to see but P.M.C.V. (per me caeci vident : through me the blind see) was to be cast or hand-graved as a jewel to be worn by Minervals. This is a photograph of a rare text title page which was reprinted in Freimaurer Solange die Welt besteht (Historisches Museum der Stadt Wien, 1993) at 314.The full title page is at this link, and the book's name was: Das verbesserte System der Illuminaten mit allen seinen Graden Einrichtungen, Frankfurt und Leipzig, 1788.
