The building which works by the sun

Island of healing to be located in the Japanese southwestern edge; Miyako-Island. I regard the shoreline of this island as a site, it is the suggestion of the big scale such as engineering works.

In this island occupying the position where sightseeing business is important, tourists borrow a car and move. Because it is a solitary island, I paid my attention to conversion being easily possible in environment-energy society from oil and energy-dependent society, I suggest a technical study institution performing the study of the solar battery or an experiment of the solar car. It is solar battery panels of 2,800 square meters installed in the center of the test course, and generate electricity for this building and neighboring areas. It is a center that studying tidal power generation or wave energy, the visitor can observe the experiment scenery of the solar car.

The shock that watched Lingotto of Fiat, which Corbusier called "the scenery which was the most impressive in industry", became the origin of the idea of this plan.

In Miyako Island of the high sun, leave the position to the sun and go round the islands by the leisurely drive. Will not this be a very luxurious experience?

太陽電池建築

太陽で動く建築

日本列島の南西のはずれに位置する癒しの島,宮古島.この島の海岸線を敷地とする,土木的スケールの計画案.

観光業が重要な位置を占めるこの島では,観光客の足としてレンタカーの利用率が高い.孤島という閉じた世界ゆえに,石油エネルギー依存社会から環境型エネルギー社会への変換が容易に行えることに着目し,太陽電池の研究とソーラーカーの実験を行う技術研究施設を提案している.テストコースの中央に設置されるのは2800㎡の太陽電池パネルで,この建物や周辺の地域のための発電を行う.潮汐発電や波浪エネルギーの研究も行える総合施設であり,来館者はソーラーカーの実験風景を見学することも出来る.

ル・コルビジェが「産業界で最も印象的な風景」と称したフィアットのリンゴット工場を見た衝撃が,本計画の発想の原点となった.

太陽高度の高い宮古島で,太陽任せののんびりとしたドライブで島を巡る.これはなかなか贅沢な体験ではないだろうか.
