Relations change

This house is in the small town where the edge of Kanto Plain. The circumference has few upper buildings and it is a place feels sky and mountains familiar. The house was desired settling down in outside or inside, or protecting the privacy of young husband and wife and children.

First, in consideration of the width of a site, or crime prevention, the outline for bundling a life space to the limit of a site is drawn. Bright airy space was produced, since various insides and exteriors were made scattered in the domain surrounded by the outline. The outline of a house considers it as a short wall, and is taken as a sense of distance which a town does not leave too much the inside of a house.

Although much room was located, I did not think that change would be attached for every room. Each room was connected, the difference was weakened, and the whole space was equalized. When spatial intonation decreases, it is because a detailed change of the scene besides a window is more conspicuous. A life becomes sensitive to a change of environment, Consciousness goes to outside naturally. The construction should just be a quiet frame for it.

A fine day, eaves, and trees cast a shadow over the wall of the outer room, and soften the brightness difference of an internal and external wall. The window which can be opened although protected from a surrounding look therefore, and the outside room dry to rain, obscure the boundary of inside and outside, and the plan without directivity does not limit the flow of a wind. In this way, the house outside and inside bundled is done.

Even if divided into how many rooms, there is one room generosity in the whole house. The distribution of brightness, silence, or relation condition exists in a spread of a house. The map of the distribution waved with a change of the weather, a season, and time, and there is a life in alignment with it.

Here, an individual occupancy place is not clear. The whole house is its personal appearance. At a certain time a family can keep his distance, and gather in the large room, and shut himself up in a detached room. The freedom using the whole house at all families was born in this house at which distribution waves.

Between someone it rains, light shines, trees interrupt a look, and a wind connects air. Natural environment changes every moment and families' relation also changes. A house will serve as superposition of every family experience, when the time of what year will pass from now on, the age and composition of a family also change and signs that time passed appears in trees, the ground, or a pillar.

20-mm-thick eaves

Thin eaves characterize this construction.

Eaves cling for inner in all outer rooms, and a shadow is cast over a wall, the luminosity difference of the internal and external room is suppressed, or they interrupt sunlight of summer or rain effectively.

These eaves carry out site welding of the L type griddle of 6-mm thickness, and are made.By attaching L type griddle at the tip of a wall, fixed an corner angle, It lets a straight line pass at the tip of the independence wall of the room 5 or the room 13.

Moreover, all the long screw bolts have pulled between a beam and the foundation so that a wall may not rotate for inner under the weight of eaves.

濃淡の揺れる家

関東平野の縁の小さな町.その街中に建つ平屋の住宅.周辺には高層建物が少なく,空や山を身近に感じる場所だ.若い夫妻と子供たちのプライバシーを守りながら,外でも内でも落ち着く家が望まれた.

敷地の広さや防犯を考慮し,まず敷地いっぱいに生活空間を括るための輪郭線を描く.囲まれた領域に大小様々な内部と外部を散在させると,明るく風通しの良い空間が生まれる.家の輪郭は背の低い壁とし,家の中と街が離れすぎない距離感とする.

沢山の部屋が並ぶが,部屋ごとに変化を付けようとは思わなかった.むしろ各部屋をどんどん繋ぎ,差異を弱め,空間全体を均していった.空間的な抑揚が減ると,窓の外の景色の微細な変化がより際立つためだ.生活が環境の移ろいに敏感になり,しぜんと意識は外へ向かう.建築はそのための静かな骨格であれば良い.

晴れの日,庇や木々は外の部屋の壁に影を落とし,内外の壁の明度差を和らげる.周りの視線から守られるが故に開けておける窓や,雨に濡れない外の部屋は,内と外の境界をぼかし,方向性の無い平面は風の流れを限定しない.こうして外も内も括った家が出来上がる.

幾部屋に分かれていても,家全体にはワンルーム的な大らかさがある.家の広がりの中に,明るさや静けさや繋がり具合の濃淡が分布する.その濃淡の地図は,天気や季節や時間の移り変わりとともに揺れ動き,それに沿った暮らしがある.

ここでは個人の占有場所は明確でない.家全体が自分の身のまわりだ.家族が距離を置いて佇んだり,広い部屋に集まったり,離れに籠ったり.濃淡のある平面が,家を家族全員で使う自由を生んでいる.

誰かと誰かの間に雨が降り,光が射し,木々が視線を遮り,風が空気を繋ぐ.自然環境は刻々と変化し家族同士の関係もまた変化する.これから幾年の時間が過ぎ,家族の年齢や構成も変わり,樹木や地面や柱に風合いが現れる頃,家は家族一人一人の経験の重ね合わせとなるだろう.

厚さ20ミリの庇

この建築は薄い庇が特徴的である.

庇は外の部屋すべてに内向きに取り付き,壁に影を落として内外の部屋の輝度差を抑えたり,雨や夏の日射を効果的に遮る.

この庇は,6ミリ厚のL型鉄板を現場溶接して作られている.L型鉄板を壁の先端に取り付けることで,部屋5や部屋13の自立壁の先端のラインを真っすぐ通し,入隅部の角度を固定している.また壁が庇の重さで内向きに回転しないように,桁と基礎の間を全ネジボルトで引っ張っている.
