She demonstrated drawing with a brush, the importance of values and working with a limited palette. Kullaf's teaching style encourages personal expression, creativity and experimentation.

Anne Kullaf studied graphic design and fine art at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and at the Art Student League of NY. She is a faculty member of the Visual Arts Center of NJ, the Hunterdon Museum of Art and the Center for Contemporary Art. She was a Bryant Park Painter in Residence in NYC, in 2014. Her exhibitions include a solo exhibit at the Visual Arts Center of NJ, a group exhibit in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, curated by the Salmagundi Club and a traveling exhibition around the United States that was curated by the International Guild of Realism. Portrait demo by John Wolff.

Hunterdon Watercolor Society began its fall demo series with a visit from portrait artist, John Wolff. John shared the process he uses to create his award winning portraits. Following a successful career as an international pilot, Wolff rediscovered an early interest he had in drawing and painting and upon retirement, began to pursue watercolor full time. He studied with several prominent watercolorists and discovered that he enjoyed creating portrait and figurative work that tells a story.

John is President of the Essex Watercolor Society and is a signature member of several watercolor societies including the Garden State Watercolor Society, The New Jersey Watercolor Society and the Northeast Watercolor Society. He has been accepted into many regional International Juried Exhibitions and has won numerous awards.
