Summer Fun!

Junction Auto Show, Chardon - June 2016

A group of Mid-Ohio Mopars members (Bob Heba, John Vrtachnik, Chris Songer, Brent Smith, Bonnie & Jerry Jones, and Dave & Carol Goodrich) attended the Junction Auto Show in Chardon, OH on Sunday, June 12^th.

Congratulations to club members Bonnie Jones, who took 1st place in the convertible class with her '65 Dodge Coronet and to Jerry Jones who won 2nd place with his '69 Roadrunner convertible and to Bob Heba, who took 2nd place in his class with his '67 Dodge Coronet R/T.

What an awesome job the folks at the dealership did! They had 375 cars in attendance…which was the most they’ve ever had! There were classic and new cars in attendance. Lots of Wing cars, new Challengers, Chargers and Hellcats. And they served delicious burgers and hot dogs…free of charge. The day was beautiful and the ice cream sure tasted good, too! The 50/50 drawing brought a smile to the lucky winner of over $1000!

Our appreciation goes out to the staff at Junction Auto who was kind enough to run copies of our upcoming July 30th show flyer and put them in all their goodie bags! We had a great time and will return next year!

Spitzer Motor Speedway – Mansfield - September 2016

At our June meeting, Roger Miller mentioned that our club had been invited to take part in a show at Spitzer Motor Speedway. A number of us went and this turned out to be a great show! The weather was perfect and there was a great turnout of awesome cars. The really fun part was at the end of the show they allowed all cars to make a lap around the track and do a burnout in front of the grandstand! President Dave Goodrich won an award for Top Ten of Show with Carol’s ’69 Plum Crazy Purple Roadrunner.

Thanks to the great staff at Spitzer for putting on a really nice show. We will be there again next year!
