Iyengar Yoga Therapy 

alleviates insomnia, arthritis, constipation,
lower backaches, headaches, asthma, colds, painful menstruation,
and is a boon to post-natal mothers, acidity, flatulence, diabetes, colitis,
headache and migraine to name only a few of our aliments that
we can find relief from with a regular yoga practice.

The word Asana means “to sit”
and is singular and plural.

Practicing asana creates and maintains the correct functioning of all the bodies’ parts.
When “taken” regularly asana relieves the body of its pains, stresses,
and diseases thereby freeing the mind to be still, peaceful and present.
Asana are to be conducted with awareness and discrimination bringing,
the mind, body, intelligence, and consciousness together into a harmonious whole.

Yoga Therapy combines 

certain asana in specific order to facilitate
the students healing in a supported practice. In these sessions students use 
bolsters, blankets, straps and blocks to achieve the asana without 
any stress on the body and then to completely relax into the pose.
This support allows the body to open in a safe and effective manner.
