2 February 2011 Bunnings BBQ

Buntings Mt Roskill have kindly supported HJAC over the last two years with the opportunity to utilise their excellent facilities to run sausage sizzle fundraisers for the Club.

Parents and the athletes have contributed time away from their busy weekends to run the BBQ stand and sell sausages and drinks to help raise necessary funds for the club to support athletes with domestic and international travel and ensure the equipment every week by hundreds of children is updated and maintained.

In addition to seeing many many familiar faces while selling sausages, we have had several enquiries from families interested in the club, whose children have subsequently joined up.

The Anniversary Weekend BBQ was a big success with $1706 profit raised towards team travel costs (such as Trans Tasman, IP's), upgrade of sports equipment and other club related costs. We really appreciate the opportunity to use the Bunnings facilities and their shoppers to raise money for the club.

Our thanks to Bunnings and all of the families who have supported these wonderful fundraising events.

Our BBQ fundraiser dates at Bunnings are: 18th -19th June, 3-4th September & 5-6th November. Please support these fundraising opportunities - they are an important source of income to help the whole club. We need more helpers at these events so please write these dates in your diary and contact David Ledger for a time slot over these weekends!
