2015 Ale & Feast

The Annual Ale & Feast was held on Saturday 21st November at the Hut behind the Mason's Arms.

Presiding over the event was our Squire, Dave Townsend. Joining him on the top table were the Reverend Tim Stead (Vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Headington Quarry), Steve Archer, Treasurer of The Morris Ring and Jack Worth, outgoing Bagman.

The Loyal Toast was proposed by Dave Townsend, The Immortal Memory was proposed bt Steve Archer, Treasurer of the Morris Ring. The Toast to our guests was proposed by John Graham, Musician for HMQD and the reply was proposed by Geoff Jerram.

Over 50 dancers, musicians and singers joined us for a wonderful evening of dancing, singing, music, food and drink. Among our gusts were Summertown Ladies Morris, Ravenscroft Morris, Moulton Morris, Eynesham Morris, Mr Hemmings (Abingon), Thaxted, Brackley and Winchester.

We welcomed two new members to our team; Thomas McCosker (Full Member), and

Leonard Pepper (Honorary member). We also welcomed Martin Tennant who became our new Bagman. All three members danced in as is the tradition.

Overall everyone had a thoroughly good time!
