Professional artist Gretchen Fielek is a graduate of Michigan State University with a rich background in a variety of media. Her current focus as a watercolorist is exploration. She paints on a variety of grounds, including paper, canvas and slick surfaces.

In the exploration process,  she has discovered that her best work happens when it is not so much an expression of herself as it is an expression of something beyond.  Most of her inspiration flows from the natural world.
