Letter to Classmates

Dear GCHS North '81 Classmates,

Recently, I turned the page on my wall calendar to September and was reminded it has been almost 30 years since we roamed the halls as students of Granite City High School North!  September always brings back warm memories of former classmates and teachers, class schedules, our cafeteria, and Friday night football games, along with all the other activities related to being a"Steeler", especially when I realized the time as arrived  for our 30th class reunion.  While our committee has fond memories of high school, the reunion committee is asking  our Alumni  to share their memories of our school and classmates, tell us about your life after graduation, show-off those pictures of your husband, children, and grandchildren(Are we truly old enough to be grandparents).  Sincerely, anything you are proud  of can be shared, pets, houses, cars, etc., we are simply asking for memories from your school days, pictues of what you have accomplished over the last 30 years. Why  are we asking you to gather all this information?  Because we, the Granite City High School/North, Class of 1981, will  be gathering  with friends, spouses, and families on June 18, 2011.  Your class schedule depending on survey results may include the following:

We are asking our wonderful classmates to consider sending a donation to assist us in creating a memorable event, keeping the cost of the main event affordable to all members, or perhaps even blessing a classmate or two who are experiencing financial hardship an opportunity attend the reunion.
