KNOTT END PLEASURE RIDE 2017 Saturday 17th June

The sun shone brightly as over 50 horses and  riders along with an army of family, friends, cyclists and dogs ventured out on the annual Knott End pleasure ride, riding along the beach, bridleways and roads. We had been notified days earlier of aircrafts landing on the beach, they very kindly postponed landing till after 11.30 in order for all of the horses to be safely off the beach.

The winner of the best turned out went to Estelle Lund and Simply Bayyah, shown being presented with her trophy by our chairperson, Kate Brown.
The winner of the raffle was Kym Bamber.
On behalf of Fylde Coast Bridleways we would like to thank all those who entered , marked out the route or volunteered in any other way, without you all , these rides would not be possible.    We hope to see you all again next year.

Lindle lane resurfaced

Any riders who use the Lindle Lane bridleway will know that recently it has become very muddy and uneven. Fylde Bridleway Association have spent £700 on having stone put down to make the surface useable and safe again. Dog walkers have commented to one of our members, on how much better it is, so we are pleased our efforts are appreciated and now  the council have also sorted out the roadside kerb at the top end so that water from the road doesn't wash away our efforts! thank you!
