About Us

The Friendship Sangha of the Heart is a community of individuals who gather for meditation practice on Monday evenings at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ventura. In addition, we sponsor and host other mindfulness meditation activities from time to time outside of our weekly Monday meditation sessions. All of our gatherings are open to the public, no strings attached, no commitment demanded or expected. Anyone who attends our weekly meetings, whether regularly or from time to time, is considered a member of the Sangha.

We practice in the tradition of the Buddhist Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, and are a Spiritual Growth Program of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ventura. Through our practice we aspire to bring about awareness, understanding  acceptance, harmony and love.
