I haven't got a number, I'll just run anyway...

The race referee will stop you if you don't have a number. You are not insured if you do not have a number. 850 people will pay good money to enter. We owe it to them to stop those who just want a "free ride". Please respect this. A...

I'm worried I might be last..

Well, someone has to be...But we will have a tail vehicle following the race to make sure everyone is accounted for, and all the marshals and drinks stations will be in place until after the tail vehicle has passed.

Is It Hilly?

No. The course is essentially flat. It has a few bits where the course rises or falls, but there are no big hills

I've entered the race but I'm unable to run. Can I have a refund?

Unfortunately we are unable to give refunds if you cannot take part. Numbers however can be transferred, see the transfers page.

I've lost my number. Can I have another?

Sorry, we cannot replace numbers that are lost or damaged. The race is oversubscribed and as much as we would like to be able to replace numbers, we simply don't have any spares. Please look after it and keep it safe.

To help solve this problem we will issue numbers on the day of the race. Pease collect by 1.15pm

What do I get for finishing?

We like to be different at Freckleton. We give you something that will be useful as well as a memory of the race. It will not be a tee shirt or medal, but we do think you'll like it. People usually do. previous memento's have included:

Shoe bag, a pint glass, a drinks bottle, large mug, holdall and a bath towel. What will it be this year? Ah, that would be telling and spoil the surprise...

What refreshments are on the course?

There are 5 drinks stations, at 3, 5.5, 8, 10.5, and 12 miles, with each providing water in cups. In addition, there are sponges and showers at each water station to help keep you cool. You also pass 5 pubs and a McDonalds!! Oh dear, now I hav...

When will I get my number?

Numbers are to be collected on the day please. You will receive an email from us to let you know your running number. You will need to bring the printed email with you on the day (or show it to us on your mobile phone to save paper).

If you don't get your email please check your spam folder. For any queries about your number please contact " freckhm@talktalk.net ".

Where can I park?

There is ample parking at the start/finish area on the sports field.

Where do I put my number?

On your FRONT please. (unless you plan to run 13.1 miles backwards!) Your number is for the timekeepers to be able to give you an accurate time. No number = no time and no memento.

Why does the race start at 2pm instead of 11am like most races?

The race is part of "Club Day" weekend and all the local Churches have special xervices on the Sunday morning, which we don't wish to disrupt.

Why is there a cut off time of 2 hours 40 minutes?

The time is based on the slowest times from the last few years. The cut off time is set to discourage people who just want to walk round. A half marathon is a serious distance and we want people to rspect the distance.
