Trace Fossils

What are Trace Fossils ?
Trace Fossils are fossilised nests, gastroliths, burrows, footprints, etc.

How Are Trace Fossils Formed ?
Trace fossils are formed when a organism (animal or plant) leave an imprint where it was e.g. a footprint/handprint. In order for it to form into a fossil the imprint needs to be infilled with minerals or another good infilling material like volcanic ash and over time it will form into a fossil.
