A RAINBOW DYED 2-PLY YARN   (11 Wraps per inch / 2.5 cm)

Suitable for a summer top or inlay accent thread.

Materials:

Mulberry silk tops

Corriedale tops

Dye Stock in required colours (e.g. yellow, blue, red)

Method:

• Split the silk tops into narrow strips and spin a fine thread using Z-twist.

• Split the wool strips into narrow strips and spin a fine thread using Z-twist.

• Ply S-twist.

• Leave to set on the bobbin for a day.

• Wind the skein onto a niddy-noddy.

• Rainbow dye the skein.
